Bob is one of the most talented, humble, and fast-moving designers I’ve ever had the pleasure to work with. From my first experiences working with Bob I found him to be open and collaborative, and willing to hear me out and patiently consider various ideas and approaches. This is an invaluable trait for a designer, and one that I’ve always admired and appreciated. Bob was responsible for establishing the look & feel and branding for our Studio and all our projects, and each one of them has a strong visual identity that allowed us to stand shoulder-to-shoulder with the biggest studios in entertainment. In addition to our Studios work, I collaborated with Bob on our project with Spotify and he was instrumental in sketching out some of the early layouts and design concepts that ended up in the final project. Bob is a quiet talent. He comes into the room not with an explosion of sound and fury, but with a smile and an amazing eye. He just always gives you quality. He can’t help it. He slips and falls and exactly the concept you’re clumsily babbling about just appears on his sketch pad. Bob is a painfully nice guy. I’ve watched him look past the 23 reasons he knows something is a bad idea, give the person the benefit of the doubt, and talk patiently to them again about the better path. I always enjoyed every task we worked on and I would definitely work with him again.
Robert is a creative design genius with a good heart and a feeling for character, packaging, illustration - and I truly hope we can work together again in the future.
I had the privilege of working with Bob while at Magic Leap. Only towards the back half of my tenure there I was able to work with him directly but it was clear that his attention to detail was something to behold. He had a huge part of the branding for Magic Leap Studios and the individual projects we released by Magic Leap Studios. I marveled at his Project Create work from afar when I was a Embedded QA Tester. Everything that came through was so clear, clean, and on brand. Later I moved into more of a production role which gave me the opportunity to work with him directly. He was always clear with me where his work, or work from employees that answered to him stood, and when I could expect updates. There was never a time I was worried about deadlines thanks to his constant communication. He brought strong leadership to our project. Don't hesitate to bring Bob onto your team. Not only does his personal work shine, he communicates art direction in an extremely effective way. I hope I have the chance to work along side him again, it was truly a pleasure!
I initially worked with Bob on a project called "Bitforce", he was in charge of many aspects of the visual design and as an original IP the "pitch", which was impressive. We worked on that prototype and as it finished we entered into an ambitious company wide project called "pitch fest" which enabled people all over the company to have an idea and we would prototype it, Bob jumped in and helped every team polish and perfect their pitches, down to the logo, and he was working fervently on his own pitch himself! Pitch fest resulted in many great ideas including "Create", but the better part of it was the team wide working relationships that formed as a part of it, as you walked around HQ even years later people still had the big pitch fest boards and logos on the wall. It made that much of an impact on the company. Bob is always a positive force, always a great idea, always a team collaborator. I would hire him in a second, and will be begging him for help on my pitches for the rest of my life.
Throughout my time working with Bob he has unfailingly delivered incredible design work. He along with our art directer defined the look, feel and design aesthetic of our studio from top to bottom. His feeling for design and how it relates to any given project or ask, is exceptional. He has a tremendous eye for detail and only delivers quality work. He always takes the initiative and constantly surprised me with work already done before it was asked for and he always delivered much more than expected. Bob managed his team with skill, always getting the best work and helping them to grow. Bob is also a pleasure to work with and I hope to find many opportunities to work with him again.

Robert is hands down the best designer I have worked with in my career. He is fast, meticulous, and a master of his craft. He has an impeccable understanding of visual language that affords him to effortlessly solve problems and challenges that would make most people back away in confusion. Robert will usually blow this off and tell you that it is easy. He is either extremely humble or doesn't realize how skilled he is.
I have been afforded the opportunity to have Robert to work alongside at a director level. Regardless of the surprising and often times impossible challenges, we were able to come up with solutions that exceeded expectation. From physical product, art installations, presentation decks, brand and identity, event creative, swag development, and overall visual treatments to apps. Most of this couldn't have been accomplished without Robert's expertise and assistance.
As a manager he cared for the well being and careers of those who reported to him. He would carefully craft plans to help them become better at their job and push them into new territory to help them branch out and experience new things. He also set goals and checked in often with his design group to maintain their charted paths to improvement. He is an example of how this type of thing should be done.
I look forward to future opportunities to work with Robert again and would highly recommend him for any leadership or director level position that involves art, visual design, or creative.
As a long-time Art Director in the Video Game and Entertainment Industries, I have become acutely aware that certain skill sets are hard to come by. With regards to Graphic Design, I would have to say that Bob is the most skilled artist I have ever had the privilege to work with. His understanding of the power of graphic design, as well as his extensive knowledge of the field, makes Bob a powerhouse of creativity. The most amazing part about it is seeing him effortlessly turn something out of the highest quality. I know it's not effortless, but like all great artists, Bob makes it appear that way, because he has such a strong grasp on understanding and executing graphic language. I cannot recommend Bob enough for any visual design needs you may have, and in fact I look forward to working with him again in the future.
I was Robert's direct subordinate for a just under 3 years at Magic Leap Studios. Under Robert's direction I was tasked with a wide variety of escalating design challenges, some of which I were the first of my career, and all were at a level and scale that was new to me. Robert's approach to management was one of betterment and encouragement. He not only helped me become a more efficient designer using my personal tool set, he also took the time to help me understand advanced techniques and skills. Working closely with Robert as the Director of Visual Design we were able to successfully design and manage tasks across the company. Tasks that included corporate branding, large format printing, vinyl application, product design, packaging and more. Most memorable of all was Robert’s easygoing personality and positive outlook despite the tremendously high pressure, fast moving workplace. I would not hesitate to work with Robert again in any professional capacity and highly recommend him.
First and foremost, Bob has a big heart, sincerely concerned with your well being, not just as a coworker but as a friend. As an artist, he has brought excitement, inspiration, and renewed energy to the projects we have worked on together. His design sense and logo creations have always amazed me, he is able to capture the heart and essence of the project in the logos and art he has created.
